Doctors who have registered for Selection and have been confirmed by the College as satisfying the generic eligibility requirements may lodge an application.  Selection applications open 2.00pm, Friday 1 March 2024.  You may only apply to the General Surgery GSET programme in either Australia or New Zealand, not both. Only use this form to apply for the New Zealand GSET programme.

Applications close at 2.00pm on Tuesday 26 March 2024.  No extensions will be available. Applicants are therefore encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible and not to leave it until the last day.  

The Selection Processing Fee for General Surgery New Zealand is NZ $828.00 (Inc.GST).  When an application has been submitted, please go onto the NZAGS website - https://www.nzags.co.nz/education-training/selection/applications/ and pay via the link on the page or via internet banking - applications will not be processed unless payment is made.   A receipt will be emailed to you after you have made the payment. There will be no refund on this fee.

 If offered an interview, applicants must attend in person.
